Christianity in the UK is declining.

Earlier this year our policy unit, working Professor David Voas and others, helped to debunk a globally circulated Bible Society report that claimed the UK was experiencing a 'spiritual revival'.

When it comes to religion in schools, children deserve a broad, objective, and pluralistic approach. It's important that they are given the chance to form their own beliefs. RE should not simply be a tool to teach religion as fact.

When it comes to religion in schools, pupils deserve an objective, pluralistic, and objective approach to learning. It's not about removing Christianity from a new curriculum, it's about not indoctrinating children through religious instruction in any new curriculum.

Children deserve an education that respects their freedom of religion or belief, that teaches the beliefs of others, and helps them explore their own. This should be true for all major religions and humanism. They should not have a system that evangelises to them.
