Another day another reminder that a SkyTrain along Hurontario - (the GTHA's worst street?) would have cost marginally more than the tram and provided way better transit and more value. But, in Ontario we just can't break out of old ideas . . .

Metrolinx quickly changed the name of the Hurontario LRT as soon as Doug Ford dictated a new name for it, it shouldn’t be hard for 125 VPs to fix this.

per my inbox, Ford govt is setting the table for its snap election call by promising to tunnel the Hurontario LRT into downtown Brampton. Critics of surface transit there argued for preserving its streetscape, an argument I will admit I don’t quite get
