A pleasant morning in a client's small woodland trying to separate out native bluebells (Hyacinthoides non-scripta) from non-native (Hyacinthoides hispanica).

Although many are hybrids of some sort...

...making it very difficult to identify which ones to remove sometimes, I chose the most obviously non-native ones to lift.

I'll repeat this each spring and hopefully increase the native bluebell element over time.

Just going over now but still looking really nice, a dusky pink bluebell Rode Hall. They have more of this colour dotted around than I have seen anywhere else.

Late bluebells (Hyacinthoidesnon-scripta). Due to scaffolding being up where I wanted to plant them for several months longer than planned, they went in a different bed in February! So I'm very pleasantly surprised to have any.
