Thought I'd seen the dumbest, most ignorant take on Bluesky last year, but I was wrong. This person is living in a world that only exists in their own mind.

As far as I can tell, the author is not even on Bluesky, so they've just fantasized what must be happening here.

I’d prefer foreign policy not be conducted on a theory of pathological insecurity and hypersensitivity to criticism but that’s just me.
They're barely even editing themselves anymore.

It’s important to distinguish hypersensitivity from empathy. Hypersensitivity often leads to depression, while empathy enables better choices to avoid the negative impact of others’ darkness.

Did you know…

People often talk about sensory *overload* in autism. This comes from hypersensitivity

HOWEVER, many autistic people also experience hyposensitivity

Hypersensitivity = more sensitive to sensory input (than a neurotypical person)

Hyposensitivity = less sensitive to sensory input

The hysterical hypersensitivity to any criticism of Israel bespeaks a buried, disavowed awareness of complicity in a horrifying crime.

/6 But it’s likely just age and bias that make me associate “collectivism” with bad things, like, say, hypersensitivity to the mildest criticism of a concept or candidate even if that criticism is expressly couched in acknowledging that candidate’s basic decency and superiority to alternatives

Autism’s earliest accounts included sensory hypersensitivities and motor challenges. Sensory differences (especially hypersensitivity and integration challenges) have long dominated autistic people’s accounts. Hypersensitivity has shown validity psychometric measurement, unlike hyposensitivity. 11/

My line of work makes me overly sensitive to the consequences of not checking my own assumptions, so I realize I have a hypersensitivity to this and probably should not be so frustrated.

But folks, you are probably not the first to ask that question and there is likely information already out there
