To introduce my #ttrpg work to new followers (hi!), to document my actual work, and to fend off impostor syndrome, here's a list of everything I've published or worked on this year:

First, FLY FROM MONTGOMERY, a 3rd-party scenario for LANCER. A desperate heist on a war-torn planet!

If you asked a normal human, "So you think my failure to say 'no' is equivalent to telling you 'yes'?" they'd at least have the decency to get flustered and stammer a denial. But being a product manager for a tech platform means not only agreeing, but taking offense at being asked.

you gotta remember that the type of guys we're talking about are so rich that they haven't been told "that's fucking dumb" in decades, maybe longer than you've even been alive. of course they thought this would work!

ME (2130 HRS, LAST NIGHT): gotta knock this cold out, better take 2 Benadryl rather than just 1.

ME (1345 HRS TODAY): all visible things are but as pasteboard masks, concealing the inscrutable yet reasoning force which moves all.

The greasy sun crawled up into the disgusting sky. The light it cast on the ruined village was like a bruise spreading on a whore's ample backside. Goreface rolled out of the pile of shit he was sleeping in. "Blood." he muttered, wetly.

RIP Annie Dillard, one of the great, if not the greatest, non-fiction stylists of our time

Annie Dillard, Meditative Author of ‘Pilgrim at Tinker Creek,’ Dies at 81
Her Thoreau-like account of journeys in the woods, published when she was 28, was the first of many ruminations on life and nature, good and evil.

it is remarkable that this has happened despite a near-unanimous effort from mainstream politicians and news media to prevent it from happening. there's some hope there
During the First and Second Intifadas the gap was, like, 40-50 points. Now that's not only gone but it's gone negative. Incredible work really.

I'm still struggling to find points of comparison where a country simply gave up their hegemony out of sheer apathy and inability to suffer hardships.

The Russo-Japanese War (1904-5) was a hard fought disaster. British colonial disasters were almost always responded to with overwhelming force.
We're witnessing the most lopsided Imperial defeat in the history of Imperialism!

To wit: it's a well known logical axiom that an argument that cannot be disproven is not automatically correct. Making an argument impossible to disprove is not proof it's correct.

This basic idea apparently blows their minds.

Roger Ebert wins! Fatality!
The entire foundation unto which the last 15-20 years of the Western game industry has been built - the simulacrum of a "playable movie", and transforming into a "higher" medium like film - has come crumbling down as its become markedly clear no one involved knows what a *game* even is anymore.

It's not HIGH on the list of things Reagen ruined, but the U.S. actually had legislated clothing sizing standards until his department of commerce abolished them, and I think about that every time I have to buy a fucking belt or pair of pants.
