But PMDD doesn't have to be a death sentence. Once diagnosed, there is strong evidence that premenstrual disorders respond well to a number of treatments. If you suspect you might have PMDD, please don't give up until you have answers. A happier, healthier life is possible.

Y’ALL!

IAPMD reached out to me to personally thank us for our fundraising efforts over the past month. 🩵🖤

(And as a bonus, I’m getting some swag.
I’ll have a nice new hoodie to curl up in during the luteal phase and it’ll be like getting a hug from all y’all.

Having PMDD can lead to devastating consequences: Symptoms like rage, despair, anxiety, brain fog, and physical pain can lead to missing work, strained relationships, self-harm, and suicide. And since only 10% of doctors feel comfortable diagnosing the condition, many go years without any treatment.

I stole this from Facebook IAPMD but it needs sharing.

Today is my brothers 41st birthday and I tried to join him on his 40th last year.

I had no support from friends or family because no one understood the condition that was threatening my life.

Mr Impy is away, child and her boyfriend have departed to sixth form (my house reeks of Lynx!), giant son will stay asleep until PM.

So I can hide in peace. If only the sun would bugger off, I might have a chance to get the hormone monster off my back.
(No sympathy needed, thanks lovely guys)

In ONE WEEK I’ll be starting my fundraising month for IAPMD! This year we’re setting the goal at $500 and I’ve come up with plenty of new ways to be tortured for charity. 😂

It’s always a good time and it means so much that my community supports me and folks like me. 🩵🖤

That’s a really good idea!

When I was seeking diagnosis, I used this sheet to keep track of my symptoms. www.iapmd.org/shop/p/iapmd...

I only kept up with it around 3 months, but it was helpful at the time! Maybe you could modify something like this?

I had PMDD and some comorbidity with other menstrual disorders that led to a full hysto & bisalp about 4 years ago. Education and research on this is lagging but the work from orgs like IAPMD are doing is so important. Thanks very much for putting this all together.

I appreciate everybody’s patience as I work this shit out. i’ll be extending fundraising for IAPMD probably through the end of May, and I’m hopeful that getting more community games together in the near future to play will give me the motivation I need to get back into it for myself.
