This post has had quite a bit of attention on other platforms, so I just want to highlight and thank @investinmeresearch.bsky.social They’ve been running the #IIMEC conference every year since 2006, entirely organised by volunteers. A huge effort supporting #MECFS research and pushing for change.
“Most of the people I’ve seen with #MECFS are so much sicker than my cancer patients.”

Dr. Fridbjörn Sigurdsson, a former medical oncologist now focused on ME/CFS, speaking at the 2025 @investinmeresearch.bsky.social conference.

Thanks to @mecfsskeptic.bsky.social for finding the clip.

10 years is too slow is because there are treatments for Orthostatic Intolerance, reliably found in 70% #pwME, now.
Dr Sanjay Gupta is treating people with OI within NHS. A patient reported recovery to nil #PEM after living with moderate #ME, which had progressed from mild (as is common), at IiMEC.
Labour's 10 Year Plan for the NHS is too slow with an aging population.
The DHSC has had 1,497 days to produce a coherent policy. The country has had 268 days with a politician actively leading on delivery. 18% effort is inadequate.
@sharonhodgsonmp.bsky.social your intel needs radical improvement.
