It is remarkable how ppl with disabilities are othered by UK media. In Ireland, the media reports on the feedback of ppl with disabilities & reports aware that the public supports PWD. The UK newspapers [Irish Sun, Irish Star, Irish UK Times etc] are dramatically different in how they report here!]

It looks like Connolly just lost the Tory vote. I'm sure that that this will bring her campaign crashing to a halt.

Irish goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu took a brave stand by refusing to play against Israel on Sunday night.

It was the cowardice of football’s governing bodies and their refusal to exclude Israel from international competition that made his stand necessary.

It is astonishing in its cruelty. I remember that the first big cut by the Irish Labour Party after it was elected after the financial crash was to abolish the blind person’s pension! At least in Ireland the public will support campaigns by PWD, that doesn’t really exist in Britain AFAIK. Solidarity

lets be honest all music attributed as "of black origin" originates from Scotland...the only place in Christendom that had the call and return type of sermon "Can I get a witness" was the Hebrides and Flyting is a Scot's/Irish 14th century Rap battle....the freed slaves moved to live with the poor

Mind you, seems they always go for an Irish derivative accent in these movies. Nobody ever affects an upper-crust Townie accent on the boats.

Had a guy in my book club I genuinely (embarrassingly) thought was from England.

I'd pay to see that in the theater 3-4 times.
