Ah, Dormont... I missed this place quite a lot. It perfectly fits the vibe of a small but lively-ish town that's very close to an overthrown House that's frozen in time.

The architecture, the people, the music for both indoors and outdoors... What's not to like?

I don't think about it as often anymore, but the concept that you're put in a position where you're at the end of the "game" and not even technically its "main" character was very fascinating for me to think about.

It was a nice little subversion, even if it wasn't a big focus.

Change is an underscoring theme of the game as is the queerness at the game world's core. Its culture and magic center on fluidity in a way I felt resonated with my bi and genderqueer self Grace: As a lesbian, this games's world resonated with me... with how hot Odile is... Gabe: Yeah...Odile hot Gabe: the game is good Grace: The game is good

When I first played, I thought she'd be a favorite character of mine, but I kinda lost that level of interest later on. But this time, I'm very willing to connect with her more with context and a fresh perspective.

Uh, I guess I can talk about how interesting this death is in that Siffrin, while everyone else is knocked down and wounded, sacrifices himself to take the Sadness down with him.
