Ooh #colourwork for this week’s #showmeyourknits calls for my #riddari sweater knit in earthy shades of istex lettlopi purchased in Iceland. This is probably the warmest sweater I own and it’s wearing very well with time. #knitsky

It’s ’Wear it Wednesday’ for #FiberuaryChallenge 🧶 Here I am this morning (bed head and all!) wearing my Peerie Shop Cardi by MJ Mucklestone. I knit this last summer and it was a very quick knit using Ístex Léttlopi. Got to practice my steeking with this knit. It’s super light and warm too! #knitsky
I am sitting in my knitting chair holding a current work in progress (the Valladale cowl by Gudrun Johnston). I am wearing the Peerie Shop Cardi by MJ Mucklestone. It has a lovely colourwork yoke. It was knit up in Ístex Léttlopi yarn in colours of deep blue green, lighter blue green, sage green and fuchsia.

This week's #ShowMeYourKnits theme is HOLIDAYS. I don't really have any holiday gift knits or typical holiday themed knits, but this one was definitely knit during the holiday season, started December 1st and finished right before the end of New Year's Eve 2021.

En gang på en fest fortalte jeg om den gangen jeg hadde strikka en fotoboks og satt opp nedi vegen. Det pleier å være en god historie, men hun jeg fortalte den til denne kvelden lo ikke, hun så uforstående på meg og sa:
-Hvorfor strikker du ikke bare sokker eller noe?

(Ps: Jeg har gjort dårlige fargevalg, dette er egentlig et MYE finere mønster enn det ser ut som her) 6. Hekla restegarnsgenser (eget design), en slags sjelelig renselse der jeg fikk lov å bruke alle fargene og ikke trengte å begrense meg og tenke på god smak 7. Liljerosett fra Kofteboken, Ask fra Hillesvåg 8. Augusta-genser fra Gegoria fibers, 3 tråder Kid silk lace 9. Elidakofta (Berit Ramsland), Ask fra Hillesvåg 10. Mislykka forsøk på å gjenskape en billig drittgenser fra HM som jeg elsker fasongen på, men den er grei nok. Økologisk, walisisk ull fra Garnspesialisten (de redder garn som skal kastes fra moteindustrien) 11. Trøffel (Berit Ramsland), i enten Tinde eller Varde fra Hillesvåg 12. Dette er dominostrikk, men jeg klarer ikke finne igjen oppskrifta og google forstår meg ikke. Men jeg trur jeg har folk på vennelista som kjenner til denne, kast dere inn i kommentarfeltet! Ask fra Hillesvåg 13. Dette er Ole Jakob sin genser (mitt design), Peer Gynt fra Sandnesgarn 14. Valdreskofta, også Ole Jakob sin. Knappene er gamle 50-øringer. Peer Gynt fra Sandnesgarn. 15. Enda en liljerosett i Ask fra Hillesvåg. Den strikka fotoboksen på en staur med vanlig, norsk grøftekant i bakgrunnen.
