Per ITEP, unauthorized immigrants paid $99.6 *billion* in taxes in 2022, without about a third of the money going toward Social Security and Medicare - two benefits they *cannot* access as non-citizens.

The most recent estimate of this tax gap was $700 billion in 2022.
