Is there any way to get Icon Composer to play well with vectors that aren't closed? 🤔 I may be missing something, but the mouth shape here is just a vector with a stroke but no fill. #iOS #design #IconComposer #indiedev

Finally figured out how to get app icons to change in #iOS26. You need to have the new IconComposer .icon and the assets AppIconSet named the same.

it's unfortunate that Xcode beta generates app icons with alpha channels for IconComposer icons that have any layer with opacity in it (even with opaque backgrounds). These work on debug, but are rejected by AppStore Connect.

Ohkay I have found the solution of it!! The problem was I was exporting the icon and then using it in xcode! Instead the IconComposer file .icon should be put inside xcode and that is needed to be used! Its looking cool now!!
Anyone else faced this?

I hated designing icons. Until #Apple dropped #IconComposer with #iOS26.

Now I can build layered, refractive, translucent icons, no 3D, no hacks, just glass.

Here’s how I redesigned our app icon from scratch →

my workaround: export the icon using IconComposer, remove alpha with an editor, use it as the only layer in icon composer for each variant.

Why not just add it to the asset catalog? That way I can still keep the non-glass icon in the Asset catalog for iOS 18.

It seems like pngs in IconComposer no longer work in the latest Xcode beta (they only render at half the screen on device)? SVGs do render fully. #iosdev

It's incredibly addictive! #IconComposer is a simple app with fantastic features to experiment with your app icon style. 🎨

#Apple, please add the ability to draw shapes in groups manually. This would eliminate the need to switch between an SVG editor and the composer. 🙏
