The Loch Lomond Rescue Boat has already been called out seven times over this bank holiday weekend. There were three calls on Thursday April 30, first to a lone kayaker who was stranded on Inchlonaig Island after a change in weather – he was returned to Millarochy Bay by the crew. Then paddle-boarders who were near Inchfad Island and could not return to shore because of the wind were rescued and taken back to shore.

Five people were rescued after their boat ran aground on Loch Lomond yesterday. The Loch Lomond Rescue Boat was called out by Police Scotland at 6.121pm and the crew made their way to Inchfad Island, navigating strong winds, rough water and significant swells. On arrival, it was confirmed the vessel was firmly beached on rocks, with five people safely ashore awaiting assistance.

Loch Lomond Rescue Boat were called to Inchfad Island after the vessel was reported to be in difficulty shortly before 6.15pm on Sunday.
