The mechanism of clients identifying themselves as a URL has been in use in IndieAuth for over a decade, and more recently has been adopted by BlueSky for their OAuth API.

with regards to the internet handle thing, idk why atproto devs don't try to work with the indieauth thing that lets you log in with your handle. imagine if you didn't need an indieauth server but instead could use a PDS that functioned sort of as both, achieving the same thing

Plenty of challenges for new writers and authors. One id that new releases only account for 3% of new sales titles, but account for 25% of revenues.

ok i THINK i got webmentions set up ok too!! i don't know if i'll actually implement being able to see the mentions on the posts but i at least have the framework set up if i ever want to do it
