In 2025, I did several major reporting projects:
I was the first reporter to reveal what's at stake at Ingleside on the Bay, a Trump+50 town in South Texas.
Across the fence from America's Crude Oil Export Capital are three facilities that handled nearly half of the U.S. crude oil exports in 2024.

In support of libraries, I'll share a project of mine from a few years ago. I decided to explore the neighborhoods of my city (San Francisco) by hiking around to visit all 28 branches of the public library system. I loved that project.

One thing I love about the original cover of Rilla of Ingleside (1921) is that it predates the ubiquitous poppy imagery. The novel is about the First World War and is stuffed with flower imagery (and even references to McCrae's poem!), but the important flowers here are Farewell Summers.
