The other project I'm already supporting is the Inkplate 13SPECTRA, which has a 19s refresh time! But that's (a) mainly from it being a multi-colour Eink pixel, and (b) fine for my use case: a digital art frame (to get all those Patreon rewards out of my inbox, without me running out of wall space).

Da hab ich viele Stunden mit ChatGPT verbracht um mit Node Red, der Arduino IDE und v6.bvg.transport.rest API mir auf einem Inkplate 6 Abfahrtszeiten verschiedener Haltestellen in meiner Nähe anzeigen zu lassen.

Funktionierte alles wunderbar.

Seit 2 Tagen liefert die API keine Daten mehr.

Ein ePaper Display namens Inkplate 6, alte recyclete Kindle Displays, in einem 3D gedruckten Gehäuse. Auf dem Display werden die aktuellen Anfahrtszeiten inklusive Verspätungen der S-Bahn und Busse der Haltestelle Storkower Straße angezeigt.

This Inkplate screen is awesome. I thought it was just an e-panel, but it has an esp32 integrated and broken out, even a 2023 bat bracket. Literally in my case: everything needed to run it, in one package.

The Inkplate code is stuck in the past because they created an (unnecessary) Arduino ESP32 target. They haven't updated it, so it's several generations behind the latest esp-idf.
