Had a bone infection after dislocating & breaking ankle in 3 places. Wasn’t tolerating meds. Dr prescribed different antibiotic -literal last option. Insur denied. My son (teen then) asked how much w/o insurance? $10K/mos. He sobbed in pharmacy thinking his mom was going to die. #insurancestories

I’m having MAJOR drama with my health insurance company (OSCAR). They changed the plan from 2024 to 2025. They want me to use an Amazon Medical location in Brooklyn. Amazon as in monster corporation Amazon. It’s about a vaccine. It’s so incredibly stupid. Don’t use OSCAR if you live in NY State.

Guess who's trying to fuck me over and not pay my medical bills by claiming I have other insurance that I don't actually have? That's right, United Healthcare. I was on Medicare years ago, and UHC is insisting that I still am, even as a Medicare agent on the phone says no, bitch, you are not.

As far as the idea itself, there is endless documentation already out there on insurance horror stories. I love the idea of a website, but I feel that the website itself is not the hard work. The hard work is the curation of the stories and the campaign to get more stories. So this is what I’d do…
