Not all #antibodies protect us. @ki.se researchers reveal how #autoantibodies against type I interferons can weaken antiviral defenses, potentially contributing to severe viral infections. A fascinating reminder that disease severity depends on both the #virus & our #immunesystem. lnkd.in/p/epDWRXXW

Here's one potential danger in medicine/pharma of freezer systems that can be hacked & disabled remotely. Apart from drugs based on antibodies (which is a *lot* of newer drugs, esp for cancer treatment) it would also include things like Interferons, viral & mRNA vaccines, RNA therapeutics etc etc.
Some most definitely are in terms of alarm systems at least. Unsure whether the software could be accessed to change temperature. Not sure academic labs would be much of a target, but biotech/pharma almost certainly. Imagine KOing an entire company stock of a biologic, for example. Very bad.

Defective Viral Genomes Reveal History-dependent Self-regulation of Type I Interferon Dynamics
Type I interferons (IFN) help clear a viral infection, but IFN levels can then decline to reset the antiviral state and avoid innate immune dysregulation. Such dysregulation can occur following infect...

🦠subvariants actively suppress the host’s natural type I/I interferon (IFN) response to evade early detection and replicate unchecked.

Researchers found that STAT3 acts as an immune switch in mice infected with cytomegalovirus.

Depending on inflammation and signals from IL-15 and interferons, it can either strengthen or suppress natural killer (NK) cell responses.

Long COVID is associated with reduced circulating levels of the neurotransmitter serotonin.
Serotonin depletion occurs when SARS-CoV-2 viral RNA induces type I interferons (IFNs), a type of immune signal molecule.
