Planning compliance monitoring/ environmental management on the Inveraray to Crossaig OHL reinforcement, upgrading the line from 132kV to 275kV. It was great my most favourite project. Balfour Beatty T&D did an excellent job.

For a town of 661, Inveraray has two great restaurants. Samphire tonight. Fantastic staff, lovely food.
Everyone on this entire trip has been unfailingly friendly and warm.

The yacht Cruinneag III off of Inveraray Pier. Cruinneag III was designed by William Campbell and built in 1936 by A.M. Dickie & Sons in Tarbert, Loch Fyne. Inveraray Pier reopened in 2024 after restoration work.

#Scotland took my heart the first moment I stepped off the train in Glasgow but the highlands romanced it and #Inveraray Castle sealed the deal. If I could choose to live anywhere in Scotland, this little village with it's gorgeous Castle would be the place.

It will be another month – after 8 Commando's moved to Inveraray in Scotland and Roger Courtney (📸 Special Forces Roll of Honour) has proven the efficacy of Folbots by 'raiding' infantry ship HMS Glengyle – before Keyes gives the final nod and an order is placed for 30 Folbots.

We also went to Inveraray castle and met rescue dogs from the Bulgaria etc. The gardens were interesting. We didn’t tour the inside so didn’t see weird snapshots.

So here's something - on the war memorial in Inveraray, there is a recording of one Sgt. Violet Ross, WAAC, killed in action.
I don't think I've ever seen a woman's name recorded on a war memorial before, and it makes me wonder why.
