Yep. Assume my RL name is Cinnamon (It's not), I grew up being called Cinny, decided as an adult to be Cin. My dad never got it, my mom tried (good when writing, slipped verbally, I get it). Sibs mixed results. Oddly, one sis refused to care until trans rights mattered, then she got it. #ItsNotHard

Next time someone tell you something like: "How am I supposed to know what gender they are when I first meet them".🚩 Simply ask them: "Okay...🤔 so after you know their perfered pronouns you will call them that right?" And they will always say no!
