You can’t see Francis’ face, but the clothing is unmistakably his from near the end of episode 10. The daguerreotype is resting on Francis’ left forearm (his slops are pulled tight over his missing left hand) and Francis’ right hand is resting carefully over the image of James as though he’s gently caressing it. Francis is wearing a grey fingerless glove on his right hand, and you can see James’ cream gansey sleeve too. Below that, brown fur is visible, implying Francis is inside a tent.

After the publication of the Victory Point Note on 1 October, every week more info about McClintock's Fox Expedition was shared. On 8 October, McClintock's first interview with the Inuit plus an illustation of this encounter.
