Actor James Handy, who appeared in "Top Gun: Maverick" and "Logan," has been identified as the victim of a fatal stabbing in Tarzana. His girlfriend's son was arrested after a bizarre 911 call.

James Handy, a longtime actor who appeared as the bartender in "Top Gun: Maverick" and had guest roles on dozen of TV shows, was killed Wednesday.

Handy, 81, is known for his roles in films including Jumanji and Top Gun: Maverick.

Authorities raced to the 19200 block of Erwin Street in Tarzana Wednesday morning after a caller stated "I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin."

"Detectives believe this is an isolated incident and there appears to be no danger to the public at this time," the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement.
