It’s not - Fender Jazzmasters have “offset” bodies, like this:

I make strings for instruments by hand. It is my art to help professional artists realize their musical work and vision.

📽️: CAB CALLOWAY'S HI-DE-HO (1934)

This Paramount #musical #short stars #CabCalloway and his orchestra along with #FrediWashington.

(The short features one of my personal favorite Calloway songs—co-written by Calloway—"Lady with the Fan")

The characteristically plinky plonky, sustainless sound of early punk and indie was in large part because guitar originally meant for surf, like Jazzmasters, Jaguars, and Mosrites, could be found at any pawn shop in the 70s and 80s for almost nothing
That's one reason for the Mosrites. Not only were they cheap then, so you could buy a lot of them for different tunings (same reason SY used Jazzmasters) and had the right look, but they have famously narrow necks, which means less wasted space

Jazzmasters are cool looking guitars.

Here's my little collection.

After playing on Stratocasters, Jazzmasters, and single bucker guitars for around 10 years, it is safe to say that I need a telecaster
