he was one of the standout teachers through my schooling — in many ways similar to the character of john keating in dead poets society.

Many years ago, I found myself in a writing workshop with John Marsden. I think I got the notion that I could write a short story. Anyway, I don't think he was overly impressed with my writing, but he was very kind and supportive, and I appreciated that. #JohnMarsden
