To mark #InternationalMuseumDay we're proud to announce that tickets are now available for our exhibition marking the 150th anniversary of the Crime Museum. They're released at bit.ly/4mlyxqP a month ahead (e.g. June slots at the start of July). #CM150 #journeeinternationaldesmusees #IMD #JIDM #IMT
Watercolour, pen and ink notice for the Crime Museum in elaborate calligraphy, a different font and colour for each line. Overall, it reads 'Museum is open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between the hours of 2 and 4 p.m. only, upon presentation of a proper order 8th May 1894 By order of the Commissioner', a post then held by the one-armed Colonel Sir Edward Bradford, previously of the 14th Light Dragoons, Mayne's Irregular Cavalry (formed by a distant relation of one of the first Met Commissioners) and the Indian Civil Service and husband to Jane Austen's great-great niece.
