If you bought your tesla before Elon musk turned into a massive cunt. Attach large stickers to your car stating exactly that. I will then let you out at junctions.

Is endothelium a type of epithelium?

I am @icfortunato.bsky.social & I would like to discuss this with a short🧵 focused on cell-cell junctions, specifically adherens junctions.

it's actually not two Nobels for Josephson junctions, just one that tunnelled over a gap of 52 years

This reduction was consistent across:
✔️ travel modes
✔️ junctions with/without traffic lights

Filtering side streets hasn't just made internal LTN roads safer - it has made boundary-LTN junctions safer too. No negative impacts on other boundary road junctions.

This is one of the funnier junctions of belief between left-anarchists and neoliberals
Rebecca Solnit’s book “A Paradise Built In Hell” should be required reading for everyone. Basically: people are generally good & in disaster situations self-organize effectively & often joyfully. It’s when authority tries to “restore order,” that shit goes off the rails.
“Cops are volunteering their own time as part of ongoing disaster response”

Oh, I guess they’re actually helping for onc…

“In order to prevent people in weather stricken areas from entering grocery stores to secure food and supplies”

Oh for fucks sake 😡

Gap junctions FTW!

If you want to understand how neuronal circuits work, you can’t ignore gap junctions.
"Electrical synapses" differ from the more widely studied chemical synapses.

“Altering this electrical conduit in a single pair of cells can change what the animal chooses to do.” Electrical synapses don’t simply transmit signals, they also act as a “filter.”

The existance of junctions that work like that is crazy to me, in the Uk this would just be a roundabout.

Not the first in London, but it is looking good - giving priority to pedestrians at junctions.
Went to see it in the flesh first thing this morning. This is London’s first (I think?) “implied” side road zebra crossing. It has no flashing “Belisha” beacons. It is just paint. Same as you see in dozens of other countries. New for the UK
