Really sorry to hear this. I know exactly how it feels to be let go, but in the wise words of Ichiban Kasuga “Once you’re at rock bottom, the only way forward is up. But the bottom doesn’t have to be all dark and gloomy. If you can stand and look up, you’ll see the light of hope there.”

Yeah, she let it grow during the entirety of Vol 4. You can see it slowly grow even from the beginning, but 4 has it most drastically obvious. Chapter 40 is when she cuts it short again

I don't have Vol 4 panels on-hand, but here are some illustrations from that time
Nomoto watching Kasuga eat. Just cropped so it's only showing Nomoto Nomoto from the Vol 4 cover art, looking over at a cropped-out Kasuga Nomoto offering the viewer some kara-age (Kasuga is off to the side enjoying some rice). From an illustration promoting a voting event on Pixiv. Nomoto grilling some food for everyone to enjoy. She's personally enjoying a beer right now. It looks to be the "unbrand" version of Suntory's Rich Malt

Drama!Kasuga isn't as forward as her comic self, huh? But maybe she'll open up more eventually~

After they have a short talk about it, Nomoto admits to Kasuga this seems to be the apartment she can see them living in. Kasuga then takes Nomoto's hand to voice her agreement (different from the actual drama because Kasuga there only verbally agreed and nodded her head. No physical contact was made) The original panel

I wanna point something out

I actually have drawn this scene before (I am pro-redraw ideas btw), but look at how far I've come since 2024

LOOK AT THAT
A two-panel comic that uses the drama versions of Kasuga and Nomoto to play out a scene from the comic. Kasuga opens her door and smiles at Nomoto, saying, "Welcome." She's glowing bright. Nomoto is stunned at the sight. For the sake of this post, I reposted the new drawing so it could be side-by-side with the 2024 pic. This one was drawn with a more TV-esque angle, though I didn't draw it widescreen, heh.

The gals have rented a room at a karaoke bar. Drinks and food are plenty, and they are currently enjoying Yako singing a song. Yako is up and posing emphatically as she belts it out. Nomoto has her arm raised to cheer her on. Sena is clapping along. Kasuga is playing a tambourine to the beat of the song.

Inoue on the script, God Brave Studio on the designs, and this premise is. All very very promising, I'm cautiously enamored but enamored all the same.
The apparent critique within of overreliance on legacy ips within mecha is rlly fun to see and I hope they deliver
The story of Jyu-Oh Mujin Dandivine is set in a world that has been at peace for 20 years after the combining robot Dandivine defeated the mysterious invaders known as Aposdoll. The toy manufacturing company Kasuga celebrated humanity's victory by turning Dandivine into a popular toy-line, but poor management and over-reliance on the Dandivine line has pushed the company to the brink of bankruptcy, causing Kasuga company president Genjuro Shijima to wish for Dandivine's revival, even if it means disturbing the world's peaceful state. Suddenly, as if in response to Genjuro's wish, the Aposdoll reappear in Tokyo, sending the peace-loving people into a panic. In order to save the world, ordinary high school student Gekiha Shijima boards the Dandivine at the urging of his uncle, Dandivine's former pilot, Yusaku Kuroiwa. Why have the Aposdoll resurfaced? And will Kasuga reign supreme over the toy industry once again? A new battle is about to begin
