SKC's Absolics did not use semiconductor-grade CMP when it first developed glass substrates: machining, etching and polishing were enough. Tighter TGV and fine-wiring specs changed that. KCTech is now sole supplier of CMP tools at 7-8bn won each, shipping from Q4.
