KUOW relies heavily on Seattle's independent media ecosystem for guests and stories and this belittling is very disturbing to me.
“Let me just say, that's why public radio matters, and it's why anyone can put up a shingle now and call themselves a news person, an influencer and put out news." This, again, is from @kuow.org's politics editor.

Bruce Harrell’s campaign is using a KUOW story to paint Katie Wilson as secretly rich. The problem? It isn’t true. Her parents only started helping with childcare this year, not her bills, and KUOW has since added context after refusing to correct the piece.
How a KUOW Story Became a Weapon in the Mayoral Race
On October 21, KUOW published a story with the headline: “Katie Wilson can barely afford to live in Seattle. That's why she wants to be mayor.” The story then goes on to reveal that while she “speaks ...

Was glad to talk with Amy at KUOW in Seattle about the Perkins Coie executive order, lawsuit, and TRO. Check it out!
Legal organizations in Washington state have joined the outcry over President Donald Trump’s executive order targeting the Pacific Northwest’s largest law firm, Seattle-based Perkins Coie. The firm has more than 2,400 employees at 21 offices across the U.S. and overseas.

We love @kuow and our local federal employees!
Here in Seattle, furloughed NOAA employees were out in the pouring rain cleaning up beaches yesterday, part of a national week of service organized by federal workers who can't do their jobs due to the shutdown.

Story by @heyjohnryan.bsky.social at KUOW, our federally defunded public radio station.

"Who cares?" says the president about a day of peaceful NO KINGS protest in approximately 2,500 cities, towns, villages all over the United States, and in many other parts of the world.

Interesting that layoffs in Seattle mean our progressive policies are hurting businesses, but layoffs in corporate sycophant Bellevue is not even news. I guess it doesn't fit the narrative?
