I'm in blood red ky. This was on the ballot. It was pushed by the KYGOP as "vouchers" to divert public tax dollars to private schools.The state went trump 80/20 but, this issue FAILED in all 120 counties by huge margins!!! The people spoke loudly & won!

One reason I doubt "Republicans are covering up that he's dead!" is that neither the Senate GOP nor KYGOP nor Trump have an interest in that. They would absolutely be better off politically to get moving with having a more Trump-aligned Republican in the seat.

Gov. B is the firewall preventing KYGOP from controlling all levers of the state. He's governor of a red state, so it's a far more difficult challenge for sure. These things are happening across the nation.

One of the criticisms against Andy Beshear, who otherwise is a mostly-good governor (and certainly better than anyone he ran against), is that this collapse has only hastened during his popularity, and in turn it completely hamstrung his administration since the KYGOP can override any vetoes.
