Official R-Type licensees Activision took out a court injunction on Katakis back in the autumn of 1988 - no great surprise as it's incredibly similar to RT. A superb shooter with outstanding graphics & greater depth of gameplay than most blasters of the time.

The #C64 excelled in its ability to produce stunning shoot 'em ups and Manfred Trenz was a master. R-Type, Denaris, Katakis and indeed the ship levels of Turrican II are all cracking games / levels. Obviously, Andreas and Chris were heavily involved too. Rainbow Arts - quality.

I fell into a little Andreas Escher #C64 hole yesterday and this beauty was sitting in there, alongside Katakis, R-Type and Turrican II. It is essentially Que-Dex, but much smaller and much bigger, if such a thing can exist. The first level which I didn't even finish: huge!
