I love Apica CD paper so much. It’s the only paper I tested that I would actually ascribe the word “premium” to. It feels luxurious to write on, has better dry times than the MD or the Tomoe River S, and still preserves a decent amount of ink sheen, especially compared to the Keepbook.

Baron Fig’s paper has some unique issues, like the paper lines resisting ink entirely (causing them to show up as interference in your strokes), high feathering, and relatively low sheen (though not as low as the SN Keepbook). The paper is also VERY textured, so the experience feels scratchy.

The absolute best dry times, by a VERY wide margin, were on the paper in the Keepbook from Studio Neat. I used this notebook as my main BuJo last year, and while I didn’t use fountain pens on them back then, my tests were incredibly promising.
