16. Fave movie-going memory: The Kinoteka Zlatna Vrata, located w/in the walls of Diocletian's Palace in Split, Croatia. On the night I went, a film club hosted a QA w/ local director. Members only, and I just showed up ... but they included me and spoke in English so I would feel welcome. Magic.

While in Warsaw this week, I got to visit the Kinoteka and watch the 4K restoration of Amadeus, with a full house.

What a joy. Hadn’t seen the film for many years and had forgotten just how funny it is - and how hard that ending hits. The ultimate movie about jealousy. Cinema’s greatest giggle.

Že nekaj časa resno razmišljam o pregledni retrospektivi. Kinoteka in to. Kopije so po mojem perfektne, tega nihče ni gledal. Reevaluacija ere, morda pa danes bolje izpadejo!
