Klondykers, Shetland 1994 - new zine out featuring the East European fish factory ships which visited Shetland in the early post-Communism years, to buy cargos of herring and mackerel. Fishy times. www.jeremysuttonhibbert.com/photography-... #Shetland #ShetlandIslands #Scotland #ShetlandIsles

Two of my favourite zines I’ve done. The #Shetland zines - the MV #Braer oil disaster from 1993, and the East European #Klondyker ships from 1994. See all photos & zines here: www.jeremysuttonhibbert.com/photography-... #photozines #photobook #ShetlandIsles #Klondykers #maritime #photography

A couple of my Dad's old slides, Ullapool. My folks were visiting me when I was working up North in 1992/93.
1) Fishing boat De'wy Rose with the Lerwick registration LK243.
2) Murmansk registered Atriya, a Russian rescue/supply vessel, probably working with the 'Klondyker' Russian factory ships.

They do have form for this. Although not substantiated the ‘Klondyker’ factory ships which visited Ullapool in the 70s and 80s were a method to insert the GRU onto the UK mainland.
