Block 36 is a fun and festive one. It's called "Carp-shaped streamer and houses" and depicts a carp-shaped windsock or koinobori. These windsocks flutter in the wind in Japan at May 5th to celebrate Children's Day (Kodomo no hi)
This block is designed by Kumiko Fujita and is sewn by hand.

When the blooms have died the leaves are cut and gathered into bundles, distributed for use in 'shōbu-yu' (菖蒲湯).

It is custom to take sweet-flag (iris leaf) baths for the 5th day of the 5th month celebrations (now known as "Kodomo-no-hi こどもの日 or "Children's Day").

Tbf neither do we. Never vibed with us and thats *with* the 2 hours of writing we did on the subject of self ID with the term earlier today. That said we *do* have to go digging for the good stuff that really speaks to us. Stuff like Kodomo no Hi or Gotsugo Soukan.

That's not what complex means, but that's often how people interpret it. When Kei in one of our all time favorite stories Kodomo no Hi by Saeki is confronted with his unexpected arousal at his physically regressed girlfriend who may be stuck forever the body of a child--
