Scherzo is technically extremely well written, of course, and beautifully acted. But it's the coldest thing Rob Shearman has written - I can admire it and respect it, but I don't love it in the way I love his other stuff. Kromon is horrible; all Philip Martin tropes of sadism especially to women

Completed the Dark Husband. A decent half hour stretched to tedium.
Had time to do all of Creed / Kromon today; livelier than I remember but Philip Martin tries doing Vogon insects and they're just not funny enough. Cast are good but his horrendous cruelty to female characters is hard to stomach

I don't *remember* Creed of the Kromon being funny at all, or even trying to be, last time, probably because of the horrible body horror. I suppose the mole thing was ok. C'Rizz starts ok but I think he'd have worked much, much better as a comics companion than an audio one.

I recommend Spare Parts, Doctor Who and the Pirates, Creatures of Beauty, Colditz, everything by Robert Shearman, and pretty much every story featuring the Eighth Doctor, except for Minuet in Hell and Creed of the Kromon. The Natural History of Fear is one of his best.

Creed of the Kromon - When I read the Eighth Doctor had an alien companion, I was kinda hoping for someone completely non-humanoid. So I am slightly disappointed by C'Rizz. Going to reserve judgement until I understand his deal better. Also, great sound design on this one. A very squelch-y episode.
