I like the man and what he stands for, and it's important for every generation to at least FEEL like they invented/discovered things, so... okay 👍 But the MAIN lesson is "be young and cool," followed by "Don't be old and not-cool;" just like when it was "The Obama Lesson" and "The Clinton Lesson" 🤷♂️

yes! this is the Mamdani Lesson. for the general public, it matters a great deal that you are Doing Something. the priority for the next congress should be to move fast on the lowest hanging fruit. (i think this will require filibuster reform at the very least)
Been thinking about this—substance matters but maybe the perceived momentum matters even more. Like, whether you lean more towards accountability or oversight or ___, the goal should be endless activity. Show the country that this Congress is On The Case(s). Democrats are the Do-Something Party.
The last time Democrats had something like this margin was in the first two years of the Obama administration (257-178), but that majority was soon crushed by the Tea Party wave in 2010.
