Then, when CBS passed on The Muppet Show, Lew Grade said "Let's do the show right here at ATV Elstree", then sold it back to CBS. Clever Uncle Lew. There's a beautiful picture of Frank Oz, Fozzie & Lew where you just see that Lew got it. Totally. And if he 'got' something, he put the money into it.
I marvel at how Jim Henson’s brain worked. This film was a presentation piece to the executives at CBS when he was trying to get them, ultimately unsuccessfully, to pick up The Muppet Show... But if you’re a TV exec sitting in a boardroom watching this, there’s no way it’s not leaving an impression.
