Me too. With good ole LL928
My son and I, we finished the vintage #Lego Galaxy Explorer LL928.
A trip down memory lane for me and great fun for us both.
The old LL928 from the 80ies looks almost tiny next to the 2022 reboot model, but both are lovely.😍

”Yes, Steve, if my memory banks serve me right this LL928 is in reference to the spacecraft of epic proportions - on par with Millennium Falcon if I dare say… Database links this to vehicle called Galaxy Explorer.”

Probably the LL928.
Love the original one, but the new one isn't bad either.

Before COVID shielding we'd managed to get all our childhood #Lego up from my dad's loft prior to the house being sold.
As a break from not going out for to rebuild many of the space Lego kits...

Ramping up for my boy's birthday.😉
Ever since we built that vintage LL928 together he's totally into #LegoSpace (and I never stopped).
So I figured, why not broaden the horizon a little with two new sets.

I'm such a child.🙂
Bought this at Smith's toys yesterday.
It's the modern incarnation of the LL928 that I had as a boy.
Looking forward to building it with my youngest.🥰

OMG what a beauty!😍
We finished building this #Lego LL928 space set yesterday.
It even has a retractable landing gear and a release mechanism for the moon rover.

Although sometimes I think we all dream of flying an LL928.
A good day at home translating away all day long feels like what this little Lego spaceman is up to.

There were so many new pieces! An entirely new kind of Lego. LL928 arrived that Christmas.

I had an original LL928 (the larger one). Got it for Christmas - I think I was 7? I had that sucker built by 5am, and then kept right on going. My father came down at 8am and said "where's the spaceship?" I pointed at the three others I had already built from its carcass. He made me reassemble it!
