Why have one temperature sensor when you can have two? Allows me to check addressing in my I2C library (github.com/markgbeckett...) and to see how consistent the sensors are (pretty good, as it happens). #Minstrel4th #i2c #retrogaming

Coupled with a TI LM75A. Both the SC137 and LM75A have really good documentation: good enough even for me. The I2C tutorial (www.robot-electronics.co.uk/i2c-tutorial) is also a very useful introduction to I2C comms.

Sold an old MacPro 1,1 case. I gutted the parts out and found what looked to be 4 HDD temp sensors. A quick picture sent to ChatGPT tells me they’re digital temp sensors, LM75A I2C. With the power of AI I’m going to workout how to connect them to my Pi 4 which I’ll be using to help brew beer.
