Now do the same math for every litre of petrol, diesel and LNG being consumed globally.

Electrification is the future, it's just sound business at this point.

The recent news that a German conglomerate is buying into Ksi Lisims LNG doesn't mean Justin Trudeau was wrong about the lack of a business case for an east coast terminal.

If anything, the case for *west coast* LNG is getting weaker by the day. #cdnpoli

The business case for LNG just keeps getting weaker
Sorry, haters: Justin Trudeau is still right about the lack of a business case for east coast LNG exports. There might not be very good one for west coast exports, either.

Warning Canada!

Big Gas promised Australians LNG exports would mean plenty of low cost gas and enormous economic benefits.

None of it was true.

Instead we got gas shortages, manufacturing closures higher energy bills and few economic benefits.

Opinion: Canada, don’t make the same mistake with LNG that Australia did
LNG exports exposed Australians to high global gas prices, allowed gas producers to price gouge and drained the country of low-cost gas reserves

Lack of business case, not climate, should be focus of Canadian LNG criticism

LNG proponents believe in fairy tales:

*Oil/gas demand will grow for decades
*CND LNG can lower emissions in China
*CND LNG is competitive

Debunk the fairy tales.

There's still no business case for east coast LNG (that is, exports of Alberta gas from the east coast), as the former prime minister was routinely mocked for saying. Today's announcement about a German buyer of west coast LNG cargoes proves it.
