I absolutely adored the writing in #LostYouForever....I loved #TongHua from the very first chapter....
I was not surprised at all when I learned she was the lead screenwriter...I can hear her voice in the story

Tong Hua is a screenwriter for #AgainstTheCurrant
Tong Hua is the author of #ScarletHeart, #LostYouForever, #StandByMe and others.
I started the translated novel for against the current and it is not comparable to the drama. The screenwriters have done a phenomenal job making it their own

Yup, it’s the k-adaptation!
Personally, I was a bigger fan of the cdrama and the novel (author Tong Hua also wrote #LostYouForever) than the kdrama but sooooo many people love it to absolute pieces

Nice picks! 👏👏 - #Shenli is one of my all time favourites too 🤩
POJ gave me the biggest rush of any drama this year!
And props to your taste in luxuriously tortured romances (your couples from #LostYouForever & #StoryOfKunningPalace) 👍

Ah yes. He’s from #LostYouForever. A very complicated character who’s got a lot of grey area to him, and plenty of tragic backstory. LYF is unusual/interesting for many reasons, but in particular because it’s a true reverse harem show, plus the FL is canonically male for the first part of the story.

I just found out this project was helmed by #HuangYingXiang, whom directed the romcom historical #cdrama masterpiece #LesBelles, and written by #TongHua, responsible for classics like #LostYouForever, #ScarletHeart and #DestinedToLoveYou.
I MUST show up for #AgainstTheCurrent.

Oh yes, he’s a mean demon at the start. But it’s still sexy (because Tan Jianci) and I really enjoyed how Yang Zi plays being a man (not a crossdressing woman but an actual man). Their interactions in that arc have a special frisson. #LostYouForever

#LostYouForever Interestingly, he does this while the FL is canonically male. It’s very sexual. Although not.

I feel like she made the safe choice for guarding herself. But actually it wasn’t because she was still hurt. We all know that if only she’d made the dangerous choice, she would have been loved utterly and devotedly by someone who would’ve burned the world down to keep her safe. 🤷♀️ #LostYouForever

It’s a masterful drama on so many fronts. I think it was maybe my first with Tan Jianci - and I was in awe. Such is the power of Xiang Lu. #LostYouForever

Yes. It truly is a drama with 1 FL plus 3 MLs. There aren’t any others out there like that. Marriage contests for sure, but with a clear winning ML already lined up to take the spotlight once the FL makes their choice. #LostYouForever is a story about a woman (well woman/man) and the men around her.

Day 4: reverse harem
#LostYouForever
This is my GOAT reverse harem C-drama. She truly does have three men in the running throughout, and she’s the one deciding. (Of course, we all know she picked the wrong guy!) Also love the fascinating gender play in the first arc.
