#LUFC’s
The pragmatist within would’ve accepted a 2-1 defeat at the start and while the final half hour left a bit to be desired, LUFC’s opening hour made a compelling case for a team that’s rapidly matured since our last visit to the Emirates.

Still to see any real impact from the BA/HW double sub though.

🛑 4 #FPL clean sheets

@LUFC's Jayden Bogle is the only player to have kept 4 FPL clean sheets so far this season 👏

In the week England are left with one natural RB, it's fair to wonder how far away Jayden Bogle is.

Rarely injured and consistently improved in line with #lufc's recent rise. If he and Leeds continue on their current trajectory, he has to be in the mix before the end of this season.
Bogle for England? Why Leeds’ ‘unpredictable’ full-back should be in the conversation (Gift Article)
The adaptable Jayden Bogle has impressed for Leeds this season and may justifiably wonder how close he was to an England call-up

The Other 14 league table - this ignores any games that involve "big" 6 clubs. Obviously not many games have been played so far and all LUFC's games have been against the Other14.

Note last nights game involved Chelsea so wouldn't have been included anyway.

#LUFC’s duels won compared to #NUFC’s is a concern. Got to match them early; longer it goes on, more confident of a result I’ll be though. Thoughts from this morning’s preview pod here. ⚫️⚪️🎙️👇🏼

lufc's next match should be on the moon, at least they'd have an excuse for losing
September 9, 2026 at 8:28 PM
Based on past experiences, you’d snatch anyone’s hand off if they offered you a goal, let alone a point at the AMEX. Could’ve been even better, but for Stach’s failure to score. Regardless, this represents another encouraging sign of LUFC’s progress.

That was #lufc’s 3rd Prem transfer window under Farke and of our promotion team, only Bogle, Ampadu and, when fit, Rodon are nailed-on starters, with Aaronson, James, Gruev and Tanaka as squad options. That’s an efficient rebuild for c£150m net spend – especially when preserving unity/identity.

#LUFC’s inability to command fees for outgoing fees for players is getting beyond the bounds of astonishing. Allowing Gnonto to join a club on loan with an option, hours after Everton have taken £18m off the same club for Beto feels like the crowning achievement.
August 31, 2026 at 9:57 AM
Fiorentina have agreed a deal to sign Willy Gnonto and he's now expected to finalise a return to Serie A before the window closes.

Leeds have always made it clear Gnonto could only leave IF a replacement was lined up.

Mykhailo Mudryk has been #LUFC's top target...

More than enough

Joe Salah is ready for the proper stuff to start — and judging by the beauty of #LUFC's four goals against Augsburg, so is everybody else at Elland Road.

Wants, needs, and friendly defeats

Lewis O'Brien's presence in Wrexham's midfield was a reminder that, this time around, #LUFC's second summer as a Premier League club feels very different to five years ago.

Ahead of #LUFC's trip to Anderlecht, Eirik Bakke warned their dismissive manager Aime Anthuenis: “I’ll be perfectly fit to go hunting for scalps.”

"We didn’t care who we were playing," Bakke tells @robconlon.bsky.social 25 years later. "We thought we could beat anyone.”

The strength within goalkeeping department was arguably LUFC’s biggest concern going into the summer, so losing two of them to Scum and Arsenal is quite the development.

Contrast 2021's excitement of securing the future of one of Europe's best young goalkeepers with 2026's meek, muted concession of three goals with the under-21s.

Meslier was one of #lufc's big hopes, but he was among those caught in the wreckage post-20/21. A fresh start is absolutely what he needs

Before the WC starts, one last reflection on #lufc's domestic season.
When we finished 4th in our first season back in the top flight in 1991, we were very happy. It wasn't unusual back then - Villa finished 2nd in 1990 and Palace finished 3rd in 1991, both in their second seasons back. (1/2)

Me and Dad at the football on Sunday. #lufc's final home game of the season, and what felt like the end of an era, with redevelopment already underway.

The more time that passes, the more this place means to us. If it were merely sport, none of us would bother. Where you come to truly feel alive 🤍🦚
