Yeah, yeah they definitely work, we've used one. It just seem idiotic that the landowner would pay ALL the costs! And it's so Ambridge - no research whatsoever. The village famously has fewer dogs than any other village in England. #TheArchers

Yes, but it would mean that the landowner was taking a large chunk of the risk. If the business failed to get off the ground, the landowner's down by a five figure sum, with no rental to collect to pay it off.

Presumably they would pay a rental fee to the landowner. #thearchers

On Thursday the Warwickshire Hunt hunted the dismantled railway in Hook Norton. This is land they have repeatedly trespassed on over the years despite being told they are not welcome. This video was filmed by the distressed landowner as the full pack of hounds ran past her.

In the United Church of Christ statement of faith, we proclaim Jesus saves us from our sins and also from aimlessness. In the parable of the laborers in the vineyard, the landowner is actively saving people from aimlessness #jesus #faith #purpose #christian #unitedchurchofchrist

Commissioners split over stream-buffer sizes as staff cites regional practice and site-specific model
Commissioners split, with two voting no, after a lengthy debate over increasing stream buffers; staff defended a hybrid approach tied to vegetation and best available science, while opponents argued the marginal ecological gains did not justify impacts on landowners.

No, you need a tenancy agreement. I was in a caravan for a couple of years but because I can't drive I had to stay put (illegally, but thankfully with landowner permission) because here we have rules about how long you can stay on caravan sites before you have to move on.

In the upzoning case, the landowner does not get the increase in land value; when we tax the developer, they pay the land uplift to the government instead of to the landowner.

My latest for Ambrook's Offrange follows the "accidental landowner" -- as in someone who inherits #farmland, but has no plan to farm it. How do you decide what to do? Spoiler: keep the land or, at least, wait to sell until you've weighed in on all the options. ambrook.com/offrange/lan...

The Wyoming property sits at about 8,500 feet and covers a landscape surrounded by mountain ranges. Photo: WyoFile Tim Delaney had no family history of ranching when he bought Rolling Thunder Ranch in Wyoming in 2010. He and his wife had spent years visiting Colorado, but they wanted a property of their own where they could combine recreation with agriculture. Today, Delaney manages thousands of acres for wildlife, recreation and livestock.Delaney, who lives in upstate New York, is also a principal in a heavy highway construction firm that builds large commercial wind farms and infrastructure such as roads and bridges, according to US Deprtament of Agriculture.

When a bungalow is upzoned for apartments, we capture the land value uplift to fund public amenities.

But when a bungalow is zoned single-family and the land value increases 10x over 20 years, the landowner reaps a windfall profit when they sell to a mansion developer.

Why?
