Okay, I did not realize a Linux version of LaunchBox was announced like 2 weeks ago. I shall be watching with great interest; easiest purchase ever if it's good.
Side note: the AI slop fakeout in their announcement stream was so deadpan I was genuinely concerned for a solid minute; blame my autism.

VirtualGlove, as I’m now calling it is stating to support Batocera, Recalbox, LaunchBox and better support for RetroPie. Binaries for different platforms, merge controllers of you have a setup like mine with the arcade, wireless and VirtualGlove. Plus many improvements. 0.5.0 is coming soon.

I use Launchbox, the frontend platform to catalogue all the homebrew stuff, and it downloads the boxart from a database. So you can see over the past year or so just how much slop has taken over. 😑

I noticed there's an eXo project for the Apple IIGS like there is for DOS games.
eXo is a very quick and easy option to tinker around with GS games, presenting them ready to go after download via torrent in Launchbox+pre-configured emus.

launchbox keeps trying to forcibly make me set up retroarch and it doesnt even have mesen as a default emulator despite it being a highly regarded multi-console emulator lol. if i wanna add it i have to go thru and manually untick every single console retroarch supports that mesen doesnt

não é só um. tem um monte: gog galaxy, playnite, launchbox (esses são os q eu acho q são bons q tem no windows). mas num geral pra windows eu falo do playnite (usava) e no linux do lutris (uso)
mas talvez ter um monte de opção mais atrapalha q ajuda, é mais um ponto de fricção no fim das contas.

não é só um. tem um monte: gog galaxy, playnite, launchbox (esses são os q eu acho q são bons q tem no windows). mas num geral pra windows eu falo do playnite (usava) e no linux do lutris (uso)
