elon's gotta be sweating

no more sweetheart deals for your corrupt lawbreaking businesses buddy
State Sen. Nathan Johnson won the race for Texas attorney general, becoming the first Democrat to hold the office in more than three decades on a promise to fight President Donald Trump’s most controversial policies.

the mandate is the Ossoff / Talarico message of "end the vile corruption and hold lawbreaking politicians to account" and any Democrats pushing back on that mandate are hit dogs hollering
I called my normielib parents today and they complained about jeffries and schumer’s messaging unprompted if you want to know how that’s going over so far
avg bluesky user: don’t call it “revenge” when it’s accountability under the law. framing matters.

ICE is still killing our neighbors through neglect and abuse in detention centers and violence on our streets. Protect our people. Defund and then abolish the institution. Prosecute its lawbreaking leaders and members. Burn it all to ash.
It’s time for ICE to take the masks off, turn the body cameras on, and start answering to the American people who pay for their bloated budget.

You don’t reach “across the aisle” to people whose entire ethos is to ignore human rights and the Constitution. You show them that actions and lawbreaking have consequences
November 4, 2026 at 3:54 PM
I know we have to worry about meddling and outright lawbreaking after tonight so our celebrations come with a little caution, but it’s a whole lot harder to convince people that the entire country was rigged than if that had just been a couple key elections.

"House Democrats must interpret this stunning electoral rebuke as a mandate to impeach Trump administration officials for their rampant lawbreaking. And Senate Democrats must implement a secret ballot in the impeachment trial, in order to improve their chances of peeling off enough Republican votes"

Each time Republican lawbreaking is excused, it gets worse. Burglary under Nixon, funding foreign murderers under Reagan, torture by Americans under Bush, and now murder by Americans (and of Americans) under Trump. Having criminal law apply to Republicans politicians too is both fair and necessary.

Also deters further lawbreaking like messing with future elections.

Yes, the tough love that penalizes bad behavior, demands consequences for lawbreaking, and insists on the rule of law for everyone. That kind of love.
November 4, 2026 at 6:35 AM
I say no to revenge, but yes to accountability for lawbreaking.
November 5, 2026 at 3:27 PM
I want them to face consequences for their violence, lawbreaking, grifting, and genocide.

And I want them stripped of all ability to hurt anyone or profit from greed and pain ever again. No power. No resources. No assets. No voice. Nothing.

This goes for Dem traitors, too.
November 4, 2026 at 6:50 AM
Exactly that!

I am concerned that Jeffries is already trying to lay the groundwork for appeasement and blind forgiveness by conflating justice and accountability with revenge or getting even.

If lawbreakers are given a pass it simply encourages more lawbreaking. We've seen that already.

Erase the lawbreaking from the postmortem and you hand the next Republican a permission slip. If none of it counts in the analysis, none of it costs anything in the next campaign either.
November 6, 2026 at 1:31 AM
Not punishing lawbreaking inculcates contempt for the law. Going hard at the people who break it isn't revenge or retribution, it's a way of saying that the rules we've agreed on for living in a civilized society have actual meaning.
Remember that the DOGE guys literally just showed up at federal buildings with zero authority or authorization and started demanding shit.

It's not good for society or our government to let that kind of thing pass without consequence.
I think we can go for retribution against DOGE. It's most important to pass laws so that never happens again. It's also important that the personal lives of actual people who did that are at least as disrupted as every civil servant who lost their job based on some spiteful child's idea of the lulz

We owe everything to Black women. Every. Thing.

The base of the Party is not the whining white contingent that refuses to vote, refuses to work, demands magic and lawbreaking, and threatens to destroy us before the GOP can if Bernie's mummified remains aren't placed on a throne.
The 92% saving y’all asses again
Ok so according to NBC: (so far)

Of the voters who voters who voted, this was who voted Dem:
92% Black women
85% Black men
51% white women
47% white men
67% Hispanic women
56% Hispanic men

i wouldn’t say it’s about getting even. it’s about holding people accountable for the past two years and making sure the corruption and lawbreaking aren’t so easy to happen again.
"The American people don't want us to get even; they want us to get things done on their behalf."

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, who is now poised to become the next House Speaker, says that Democrats will focus on affordability concerns and not retribution after their midterm wins.
November 4, 2026 at 1:49 PM
I don’t think a Democratic Congress will be as solicitous of his lawbreaking, so he will be in for a rude awakening.
November 2, 2026 at 8:56 PM
The lawbreaking has been so transparent that not to investigate would be saying that we ARE NOT a country of laws.
November 5, 2026 at 7:28 PM
Warnock did this just now on CNN — saying flagrant lawbreaking and corruption are a proximate CAUSE of the economic woes. It’s our money they been stealing. It’s not so hard to voice this.
November 4, 2026 at 2:26 PM
But one vital thing they can which Jeffries doesn't appear to recognize is draw attention to the corruption and lawbreaking. A 255-seat Dem House can impeach anyone they want. They can grill Cabinet members at hearings. They can expose a lot.
November 4, 2026 at 6:34 PM
I see what you’re getting at but I don’t think hypocrisy has much to do w the unpopularity and party wipeout. Terrorizing migrants, flagrant lawbreaking, overt hypocrisy etc are still ok w those ppl, it’s just that he hurt their wallet w Iran and they’re mad at data centers. At least how I see it 🤷
November 4, 2026 at 3:33 PM
I want ACCOUNTABILITY for all of the lawbreaking committed this administration and its minions. I want investigations and I want prosecutions.
November 4, 2026 at 6:12 PM
I mean, the new Guy will also vote to convict Trump… and won’t be so two-facedly “concerned” about lawbreaking.

I’m not sure this is the downgrade you’re making it out to be, Susan.

Such rife lawbreaking around phone use, cloned plates, speeding, etc. from drivers.
