#LeachsPetrel
#StormAmy delivered today with a decent tally of wind-blown #seabirds on the Mersey. 35+ #LeachsPetrel the undoubted highlight. Here's two having a little feed together whilst battling out of the river mouth just beyond the #NewBrighton breakwaters. #seabirds #superseabirdsunday

Mersey #LeachsPetrel fest today; always tougher to connect upstream compared with the action in the river mouth; yet a Leach's, Kittiwake & 5 Com Scoter off the Brittania was a decent haul early PM; topped off with a Leach's at dusk from Otterspool prom @mbblerc.bsky.social #UKBIRDING #Lancsbirding

Jumped aboard the Leach's Petrel train this evening, with a single bird from Leasowe Gunsite...also a Grey Phalarope (west), Arctic Tern, Manx Shearwater, Razorbill, and an Osprey working its way along the coast #LeachsPetrel #wirral #osprey #UKBIRDING #seabirds

My local coastline isn't famed for its seabird spectaculars but when conditions are right, it is THE place to see Leach's Petrels. Numbers on 22 September 1990 were off the scale after an unusually sustained north-westerly blow. #WorldSeabirdDay #LeachsPetrel #PetrelHead

Not often the UK birding scene envies the northwest but when this happens I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.... #LeachsPetrel #PetrelHead
