My favorite translation of “mansplaining” is French “mecspliquer” made up of “mec” (‘guy’) and “expliquer” (‘explain’) and sounds just like “m’expliquer” (‘explain to me’)

Recently found a open access book (PDF) that teaches French via science fiction!
I love how "Histoires d'Avenirs" highlights the themes, grammar & vocabulary, and related visual texts, film,etc for each story. Reminded me to watch Planète Sauvage (HBO)!
