Following on from my last post, this is the first of my #lichen finds. A Cladonia colony among the Lecanopteris
Sheltering under the broad bladed lecanopteris leaves a family of lichen huddle amongst the sticks, dried leaves, cobwebs and moss. The bluey green lichen look like golf tees or goblets for very tiny people. I get the feeling they are going somewhere. a small group has been separated and are straggling perhaps the larger group is waiting for them to catch up.

アリノスシダ　新しい葉が幾つもワッと出てきてる
単葉みたいな葉が多いけど、羽片の分かれた葉もちょいちょい出だした
根元にミズゴケ盛りまくるやり方があんまり好きではないのでほとんどミズゴケ付けてない分、ジャバジャバ水遣らないとダメな感じ

同じ培地にdeparioidesとsinuosaの胞子を撒いたものから育ったそうなので交雑かもだけど、今んとこ見た目はdeparioidesなのでdeparioidesってことで
ヘゴとコルクどっちに着けようか迷ったものの、今の栽培環境ならこっちかなあ…って感じでコルク　ほんとはもっとミズゴケ減らしたかったけど、根が結構張っちゃってたのでまあまあ多め…

アオネカズラみたいに、青白く粉を吹いたような質感のアリノスシダ
しばらく乾いたとこで育ててたせいで葉の状態がひどいんで、根茎だけの写真
根茎は根が接してる面に素直に這って育ってくれるので、伸びる度に縛り付ける必要もなくて楽

Yeah, there been persistent suggestions/rumors that they serve as domatia, but they don’t form hollow chambers like Hydnophytum and Lecanopteris. And there doesn’t seem to be a lot of literature based on observations in the wild.

Sunday afternoon slow-down with When Plants Took Over the Planet (C. Thorogood, illustrations by A. Grimes). A happy coincidence to see Lecanopteris mentioned - @thebotanics.bsky.social made a short on myrmecotrophy: ants nest in the fern's rhizomes, and their waste nourishes the plant.

葉が伸びるのが早い　一番育ってる根茎が浮き上がったままなかなかヘゴに着かないので、コルク片とミズゴケ詰めて、ついでに古い葉切った
風呂場に吊るしてるとはいえずっと換気扇回してて乾き気味なんで、蒸散抑える為と新しい葉育てるの優先で、古い葉はどんどん切ることにしてる

きれいに育ってなかった古い葉は全部切って、きれいめな新しい葉を育ててるところ　風呂場の薄暗いとこに置いてるんでリゾームはいまいち伸びないけど、調子悪そうでもないんでまあ良いかって感じ
