#Legilsation
I have been asked for an updated voting record table. So here it is. Top 4 rows are new additions.

This doesn't include details on every vote - just those on key legilsation where an obvious position for or against something can be worked out (and only the most recent vote on a topic).

My #Māori #university sent a survey to students on a proposed micro-credential in #ai. This was my response:

“What I would value would include exploring:

Neither of which anyone has ever heard of. The Gov has a long history of packaging unpopular legilsation in with padding to get it through.

DEI hire boasts about removing DEI & Treaty of Waitangi clauses from Polytech legislation. First, shows how they are attacking Te Tiriti, 2nd. How weak & supportive NZ First & National are. Third, this govt ignores all submitters who oppose their bills, but will listen to their own #nzpol

The Saskatchewan Party literally used legilsation to take away the human rights of children.

Nazi Germany did't that far. Not publicly. Not through legislation.
And they were called.....The Saskatchewan Party

It seems some of MAGA is starting to realize that he lies all the time. I won't hold my breath, but he is now ruining a lot of lives with his BBB legilsation and tariffs, and has obvious signs of cardiac failure. Let's hope we get the perfect storm soon.

Right, during the process of crafting the legilsation, Republicans in congress made a ton of demands to "get them on board" and the Democrats watered it down. Tthen when it came time to vote, every single one of them was like "Haha still no".

This is the result of the Dem party constantly shifting ever so Right on issues like health care and trans rights.

Decades of directionlessness, shaking their heads at anything that might work to improve the lives of others, "we can't DO that"-ism, not making legilsation clear got us here.

F'ing dumb. The stupid thing is, the Republicans push for legislation they know goes too far, or would easily be shot down in the courts, only to later say "tHe dEmOnCrAt jUdGeS sHoT iT dOwN". They have no real intention of passing and holding this legilsation. Article🔗: www.wlbt.com/2025/01/22/m...

It's a seriously flawed proposal: without appropriate framing legilsation tenants will become eligible to buy-out those homes in a few short years. Rinse; repeat.
Why is it that writers of knee-jerk petitions never take legal advice first?
